Since my TBR pile is teetering, it seems only fair to do the same to yours. :)

Can't wait to read your post on the Guardian books! (Oh, and it's great to have you back blogging!)

Oh, you caught me trying to be clever! Chelle got me to read Cybelle's Secret and I thought that was wonderful. Although Marillier can be so cruel! The only reason I didn't pick up Son of the Shadows, is because I the ending was such that I didn't have to and I've had so much else to read. It's funny though. We picked this for a genre study at work for a group of folks who don't normally read fantasy and most of them have really liked it and they are fighting over Son of the Shadows! Definitely on my list of books I need to get to.

What a fascinating pairing. I love getting glimpses into other readers' minds like this. :) I've not read the Kelly book, though I've heard really good things about it. But I have been a huge Marillier fan for a long time now and I do recommend the sequel SON OF THE SHADOWS. Really comes through in the wanting more department. :)

Thanks. I like your blog. Isn't that the neat thing about books. There are so many of them! I always rely on blogs to add to my TBR list. I looked at your bookshelves and I see some books on there that are on mine! Fallen Angels and the Isabel Allende one to start. Have you read The Power of Play. I started it, but I never got to finish it. Seemed interesting.

Enjoyed reading your responses! We must have very different tastes in books as I didn't recognize any of the titles you mentioned!

They are! I couldn't resist. I'm don't want to pressure you or anything, but it's true you should read Silent on the Moor. It was very good. I don't want to give anything away, but I almost cried out of desperation at one point in the book. The comparisons to Wuthering Heights are a lot of fun too!

I hear you on that one. I have her first book The Creative Family. I did, actually, make the birthday crown in that book. Of course, I forgot to have him wear it at his birthday party. Big oops on that one.

Handmade Home looks great! I'd love to do stuff like that, but...Time? Yeah, I've got little to none. Sadly.
