ALA10 ~ Authors Everywhere!

Posted on

This is totally belated and without pictures, my apologies!

As a librarian, ALA was exciting just to be around so many other librarians and to hear authors say such good things about us. But, as a reader and book-lover, it was an amazing experience because there were so many authors around. I felt like I could have spent the entire time just having books signed. I was so torn, because there were authors that I wanted to see, but I just didn’t have the time. It was also fun to see authors just roaming around the exhibit hall.

Here are some of the books that I got signed during the conference:

A Map of Home ~ Randa Jarrar
Await Your Reply ~ Dan Chaon
The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place ~ MaryRose Wood
Last Night I Sang to the Monster ~ Benjamin Alire Saenz
The Dinosaurs of Waterhouse Hawkins ~ Brian Selznick
The Search for WondLa ~ Tony DiTerlizzi
Matched ~ Ally Condie
Nightshade ~ Andrea Cremer
Stitches ~ David Small
Marcelo in the Real World ~ Francisco X. Stork
Moonlight Mile ~ Dennis Lehane
Infinite Days ~ Rebecca Maizel
A Question of Freedom ~ R. Dwayne Betts
The Night Bookmobile ~ Audrey Niffenegger

And here are some of the children’s authors I had the pleasure of meeting:

Brian Floca (Moonshot & Lightship)
Mo Willems (City Dog, Country Frog)
Gail Gibbons
Jim Arnosky
Sarah Stewart and David Small
Rosemary Wells
